Villa Margherita is located near the center of Canicattini Bagni, a village in the Iblei Mountains in the province of Syracuse. From the villa you can easily reach the main square and all the shops on foot. Canicattini is an authentic baroque town, a stop for tourists attracted by the unspoiled nature and the view of the countryside and the sea on the horizon. However, the tourist presence is not massive, leaving the town still anchored to its traditions and history.
Defined as the "eastern gateway to the Iblei", a territory of naturalistic excellence that has become a World Heritage Site, such as Pantalica and Cava Grande del Cassibile.
It boasts a very long musical tradition, of which its Band is a current example.
It is in an excellent position to visit this area of Sicily, far enough away from the most popular areas, but definitely close to make their visit very easy.
A few kilometers away is the splendid Syracuse with Ortigia, its flagship. Then again Noto, capital of the Baroque and Palazzolo Acreide with its Greek theater, a few kilometers away. And Modica, Scicli and Ragusa, in the Val di Noto, are certainly worth a visit.
There are endless possibilities to visit wonderful beaches, the closest is that of Fontane Bianche and Gallina, only 15 km away. But definitely not to be missed are the Plemmirio Nature Reserve, near Syracuse and the Vendicari Nature Reserve, between Noto and the beautiful fishing village of Marzamemi.
